Adam de la Cour + Mark Knoop album launch: Mômo
Servant Jazz Quarters, N16 8JN , [Venue Details]Join us for the launch of Adam de la Cour’s new album Mômo (KAIROS).
The event will feature pianist Mark Knoop performing pieces from the album, alongside a special solo performance from composer Neil Luck.
They will also be joined by Federico Reuben and Adam de la Cour (could this be a Squib-Box reunion?!) for exclusive Mômo re-imaginings, plunderphonics and absurd, improvised homages to the many artistic entities who inspired the album, including William Burroughs and Antonin Artaud.
As an exclusive launch offer, every tkt purchase comes with a free copy of the album.
The album
Mômo comprises a collection of de la Cour’s most important keyboard-based compositions, spanning almost 20 years, and features incredible performances from pianist Mark Knoop and clarinettist/vocalist Carl Rosman.
De la Cour’s influences extend just as readily to psychotronic cinema, indie comics, variety-show performance and satire as they do to contemporary classical music, particularly where the incongruous, absurd and seemingly incompatible try to share a living space.
Expect a unique night of virtuosic absurdity.
Special thanks to The Hinrichsen Foundation and the Vaughan Williams Foundation for their support.

Admission: £16.00
